32 New Tales of Xillia Screens and Console Bundle Information

Namco Bandai’s development division known as the “Tales Studio” is hard at work on its namesake, as evidenced by these new screenshots of the PS3-exclusive RPG Tales of Xillia.

Below are the screens. In the later few, the main characters can be seen cosplaying as the main characters from retro titles Tales of Destiny (PSX) and Tales of Phantasia (SNES). Namco Bandai does indeed love alternate costumes.

As announced last month, the game will also be available in bundle form with a special edition PlayStation 3 console. Namco Bandai recently clarified that the model used in these bundles will be the new 320GB, power-supply-friendly version, logically numbered CECH-3000B. This model uses 200 watts of electricity as opposed to 230, and weighs in at only 2.6 kg instead of 3 kg.

The game will be available in Japan on Sept. 8 of this year, while gamers outside the island nation will probably have to wait even longer than that to even get its predecessor, Tales of Graces f. It’s widely rumored that Xillia‘s foreign release chances depend heavily on the sales figures of Graces, so series fans take note: this is no time to be passive.
