LittleBigPlanet 2 transcends more genres than perhaps any other game in existence, and brings with it a host of our favorite characters from classic and current games, which will soon include the heroes from FFVII.
Fans have long been craving a remake of the classic game Final Fantasy VII and, while that’s still not in Square Enix’s plans at the moment, Media Molecule will be encouraging players to create and embark on their own Final Fantasy adventures with a new costume pack. The FFVII costume pack will release on July 13th, bringing us their renditions of Cloud, Aeris, Tifa, Sephiroth, and Vincent as a bonus character. The full pack will cost $5.99, or for $1.99 you can buy them individually except for Vincent, who looks particularly awesome.
So, you want that FFVII remake? Grab those costumes and get making it, since LBP 2 has given us virtually all the tools we need, apparently. You might have noticed the inFamous 2 outfits for good and evil Cole were thrown in those pics, which also release this week for $2.99 as a mini-pack. Since inFamous 2 shares the play, create, share mantra with LBP 2 through it’s user generated content feature, it only makes sense for Cole to make a guest appearance.
Media Molecule has been really on the ball with providing plenty of content for their fans, and are also promising more Killzone 3 content as a mini-pack for $2.99, Toy Story packs later this year, and MotorStorm Apocalypse content too. They’re even planning a major update for the game in August which will further integrate Move controls into the game and creator modes, allowing players to create their own Move games to share with each other.
