Disgaea 3: Return to Launch Alongside the Vita, Trophies Confirmed

Earlier this week, Nippon Ichi Software announced that they’ll be bringing Disgaea 3 to the Vita in the form of a port appropriately titled Disgaea 3: Return. Today at the Akihabara Denkigai Festival in Japan, the developer shed some light on the game, revealing a number of interesting details.

For those that are unfamiliar with the series, Disgaea is a strategy role-playing franchise that made its debut on the PlayStation 2. The third installment was released on the PS3 and will be remastered for the PlayStation Vita. A number of enhancements will be headed to the Vita version, including trophy support, 20 additional characters, all of the DLC from the PS3 version, four new scenarios and 40 additional music tracks. That’s a lot of value in one pretty little package.

In addition to releasing a trailer (which you can check out below), the developer announced that Disgaea 3: Return will be one of the PlayStation Vita’s launch titles. According to Amazon Japan, the game will cost 6,090 yen ($79).
