Sega has released all new media for Sonic Generations at gamescom today, giving us a look at two new stages. These stages are “Rooftop Run,” previously from Sonic Unleashed, and “Seaside Hill,” from Sonic Heroes. Both levels can be played in both Classic and Modern Sonic.
In the media we have screenshots of both new stages mentioned above, along with a trailer showcasing highlights of Sonic. The trailer also gives a tease of two Tails and a classic robot named Robotnik.
Sega is trying their hardest to revive what has been a fairly stale franchise in recent years with Generations. In the game you will be able to play levels in both old school 2D and new age 3D, giving fans of either of these a chance to really enjoy the game. We really enjoyed our time with the game at this year’s E3, click here to check out our impressions.
Sonic Generations is set to release later this year for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
