Famitsu’s Most Wanted: Black Rock, 7th Dragon Make Chart Debuts

As usual, Tales of Xillia sits as the most hotly anticipated game of right the the heck now in Japan. The gap between it and second place, however, is more narrow than it’s ever been, with Final Fantasy Type-0 coming just 24 votes shy of matching it. Xillia finished with 1039 readers voting for it, compared to Type-0‘s 1015 adamant fans. Here’s the top 20.

1. Tales of Xillia (PS3)
2. Final Fantasy Type-0 (PSP)
3. Dragon Quest X (Wii)
4. Final Fantasy XIII-2 (PS3)
5. Fotokano: Picture Girlfriend (PSP)

7. Dragon’s Dogma (PS3)
8. 7th Dragon 2020 (PSP)
9. Final Fantasy Versus XIII (PS3)
10. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii)
11. Dragon Quest 25th Anniversary Collection: Dragon Quest I, II, and III (Wii)

18. The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Blue (PSP)

20. Portrait of Young Girls (3DS)

Black Rock Shooter: The Game and 7th Dragon 2020 make their list debuts this week, sure to add to the strength of the PSP once they release. Both are exclusive JRPGs.

I’m betting that the newly released demo of Final Fantasy Type-0 will definitely help it stay high in the rankings; it has s solid chance of dethroning Tales of Xillia within a week or two. And if it doesn’t, well, then Xillia comes out and is therefore off the list anyway, so don’t be surprised to see it park in the top spot for a while.
