Twisted Metal is almost as old as the PlayStation brand and just as iconic. You can’t make a mention of clowns or ice cream trucks without thinking of Sweet Tooth. Many gamers were looking forward to Twisted Metal releasing this fall, but a few weeks ago it was announced that the game would be delayed until 2012. Over at the PlayStation Blog, Jaffe released a special message to all the Twisted Metal fans straight from his heart.
Twisted Metal just got an official release date of February 14th, 2012. Yes, that’s Valentine’s Day. Jaffe also released a video further explaining why he delayed the game, and why he chose Valentine’s Day to release the game. As Jaffe says,
You are going to have people going out to very romantic dinners and then coming home and playing the crap out of local split-screen, and obviously we know what happens after that, because there is nothing more romantic than blowing your significant other up with a maniacal, demonic ice-cream truck.
Jaffe also announced that later this week he will be releasing a new Dollface trailer. Stick with PlayStation LifeStyle as we bring you that trailer later this week.
