Hot off the news coming forth that Level-5’s highly anticipated RPG Ni no Kuni will see its Japanese release on November 17th, the official Japanese website has also been updated. New on the site, Studio Ghibli brings us a batch of screens every bit as gorgeous as the movies that has made the company world famous.
The boy in the screens — the main character in both the DS and PS3 games — is named Oliver. In the DS version of the game, his adventure begins when his mom dies in a heart-wrenching scene early in the game. No, seriously, I’m not impressed by game stories very often, but Ni no Kuni‘s on the DS was solid as heck; great writing was a big part of this. Hopefully the PS3 game delivers an equally impressive script.
The game’s Japanese website can be seen here. With its release coming soon and TGS only three weeks away, get ready for more screens and probably videos.
