Hardcore role-playing fans are no strangers to the Tales series, a highly regarded JRPG franchise developed by Namco’s appropriately named Tales Studio. Fortunately, it looks like the next entry in the series is currently under development and may even come to the PlayStation Vita.
Fans of the series will recall that Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology graced Sony’s PlayStation Portable, so a brand new Tales title for the Vita certainly wouldn’t be defying history. In fact, series producer Makoto Yoshizumi went so far as to say that the studio is actively considering development of the series on the Vita and expects to share news on it shortly.
Speaking to Japanese gaming magazine Dengeki PlayStation, Makoto Yoshizumi confirmed that they are working on an all new game, as their latest title Tales of Xillia is now in retailers all across Japan. Let’s just hope that whatever platform the next Tales game launches on, gamers outside of Japan will be able to enjoy it as well.
