Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced when fans can exactly expect the next game in the Lego Harry Potter series, Traveller’s Tales’ Harry Potter: Years 5-7.
The publisher initially confirmed the game for a holiday 2011 launch and now they’ve announced that Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 will release on November 18th. The title is slated for a release on the PlayStation 3 as well as Sony’s upcoming PSP successor, the PlayStation Vita.
The game, which is a part of the popular Lego video game franchise focuses on the last three books of the Harry Potter series (Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince and and Deathly Hallows).
The gameplay will strike various similarities to its predecessor; collecting items and exploring areas within the game is the standard throughout the story. Casting spells will also play a big part in the game as a plethora of unique spells will be unlocked as players progress in the campaign. Potions will also be used to help players complete some of the game’s levels. However, potions can have a negative effect if they’re not done the correct way: side effects such as players turning into frogs will become a reality if potions are not initially made with the right ingredients.
Additionally, countless characters from the last four films from the Harry Potter series will be included in Years 5-7.
