Throughout the course of the year, Capcom has announced several exclusive characters for the upcoming PlayStation 3 and Vita versions of Street Fighter X Tekken. While many fans are excited to be able to use Kuro, Cole MacGrath, and Toro in Capcom’s next major fighting game release, those without Sony’s current-generation console or plans to pick-up the Vita have voiced their frustration.
After receiving some negative feedback for announcing three fighters exclusive to the Sony’s platforms, Christian Svensson, Corporate Officer at Capcom, posted the following comment:
Guys, we’ve done lots of exclusive content on Xbox 360 platforms (DR1, DR2, Lost Planet, etc.). We spread the love around from time to time.
Games that are exclusive to a platform are one thing, but we’re beginning to see more and more additional content/DLC get the exclusive treatment, whether it be on release, or in the form of timed-exclusivity. It might be concerning, but it sure beats not being able to play the game at all. After all, seeing Cole MacGrath on anything but a PlayStation platform wouldn’t make much sense.
Look out for Street Fighter X Tekken and its three PlayStation exclusive characters when they roll out in March of next year.
