The PC-melting first-person shooter from Crytek will be arrive on the PlayStation Network early next month. In addition to this news, EA has released a handful of screenshots to give you an idea of how awesome this game will look running on your console.
While not quite as groundbreaking as it was back in 2007, Crysis still holds up as one of the most visually impressive first-person shooters available. Plus, with an entry price of only $20, there is really no reason for first-person shooter fans who enjoyed Crysis 2 to pass this up.
According to an official announcement from Electronic Arts, the game will hit the PlayStation Network on October 4th. The announcement went on to add:
The award-winning single-player campaign from the original Crisis is getting a makeover for its release on Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network. The original release wowed players and critics alike with its mind-blowing visuals and deep sandbox gameplay. Now Crysis is poised to set a new benchmark for downloadable games with its all-new lighting, effects and other visual optimizations courtesy of Crytek’s advanced CryENGINE3. But that’s not all — shooter fans everywhere will be treated to an updated gameplay experience with optimized Nanosuit controls, refined combat, and full stereoscopic 3D support.
