In a move that will be sure to steal quite a bit of attention from Battlefield 3‘s launch day, Rockstar have officially announced Grand Theft Auto V.
In a tweet on the official Rockstar Games Twitter, they made the announcement:

And, if you go to rockstargames.com, you’ll see the above picture as well the words: “Trailer 11.02.11”. Sadly, nothing else has been revealed, so we’ll probably have to wait until the first trailer is released.
What is surprising, however, is that GTA V has been announced today, rather than over the weekend which was the 10th anniversary of Grand Theft Auto III.
