Hydrophobia Prophecy Gets Wet Over PSN Release Date

Dark Energy Digital has announced that Hydrophobia Prophecy, a reboot of the Xbox Live version Hydrophobia, will be releasing on the PlayStation Network on November 1st in North America and 2nd in Europe. The game will come at launch with PlayStation Move support and a “five week high-profile promotion” on for PlayStation Plus, meaning it will be featured on the store as a game of the month.

Dark Energy Digital’s Peter Jones had the following to say about the announcement and the PlayStation 3 version:

The PlayStation 3 is now by far and away the best looking and best playing version of the game on any platform – it’s in a different league compared to the original release, with many game systems reworked from the ground up, compelling new mechanics and a deeper back-story. What’s more, the PlayStation Network release will also contain the Darknet feedback system, a first on console, allowing players to engage directly with us the developer.

We have talked about the Darknet feedback system in previous posts about the game, but it pretty much gives players the ability to notice something in the world (good or bad) and mark it in real-time for the developers to come in, see, and make changes if need be. With the announcement, Dark Energy Digital has released a final trailer for the game, which you can check out below:
