Somewhat unsurprisingly, Bethesda have been busy correcting post-launch issues for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. As a result, a major update was released earlier today, and although consumer reports have been positive, the official change log and details have now been released by Bethesda.
Below are all of the changes included in the 92MB update for PS3 version of Skyrim:
Improved occasional performance issues resulting from long term play (PS3 only) Fixed issue where projectiles did not properly fade away Fixed occasional issue where a guest would arrive to the player’s wedding dead Dragon corpses now clean up properly Fixed rare issue where dragons would not attack Fixed rare NPC sleeping animation bug Fixed rare issue with dead corpses being cleared up prematurely Skeleton Key will now work properly if player has no lockpicks in their inventory Fixed rare issue with renaming enchanted weapons and armor Fixed rare issue with dragons not properly giving souls after death
This is the first patch which really addresses the sustained play performance issues that was a major issue for many PS3 gamers, and makes this a late but successful patch. The rest of the list is rather short, and as such Bethesda’s war on bugs and glitches is far from over. Stay tuned for what will surely be another patch announcement.
