After news of the apparent loss of Fumito Ueda in Japan, two important North American PlayStation executives have left Sony.
IndustryGamers report that VP of Marketing Scott Steinberg and SVP of Publisher Relations Rob Dyer no longer work for PlayStation. One source also said that Steinberg was let go and escorted out by security, but SCEA have only confirmed that Steinberg has resigned. SCEA also confirmed that Rob Dyer has left, with Dyer thought to now be Head of Partner Publishing at Zynga. No replacements have been announced for either job position.
With Sony having lost two important executives at the same time, it’s unsure what affect this will have on the company as it prepares for the launch of the PlayStation Vita.
