StarDrone, a PlayStation Network title (and IndieCade Festival 2011 finalist) from development studio Beatshapers, is about to get a new edition on another PlayStation platform. Beatshapers announced today that StarDrone Extreme is heading to PlayStation Vita and will release in February of next year.
The fast-paced game tasks players with piloting their drones and collecting pieces of Equilibrix to stop the evil G-Noids from taking over. The drone the players use is constantly in motion, moving faster with the collection of star matter until the drone is “traveling at the speed of light.” The game also has leaderboards that will allow gamers to compete against each other.
StarDrone Extreme was originally revealed at E3, but has now been announced as a launch title for the PlayStation Vita in both the North American and European territories.
