Exclusive Vita Screens – Shinobido 2: The Revenge of Zen

Later this week, PlayStation LifeStyle will bring you an exclusive review of Acquire and Namco Bandai’s Shinobido 2: The Revenge of Zen. Before we get to that, I’ve been going around doing some screenshot hunting, so enjoy the gallery below, from my screen to yours.

North America never got any of the PS2 or PSP Shinobido games, but thankfully, the story of this sequel can be understood without experience in those games. Don’t hesitate to jump in as a newbie just because of the “2” in the title. Below, I’m taking Zen around on the various missions that make up the game. After successfully completing the given objective — which could be assassination, hijacking of a goods caravan, protection of a VIP, or any number of ninja-type jobs — Zen gets experience points and eventually, the player can choose which of his stats to improve. I’ll shut up and let the screens do the talking:

I think there will be complaints about the controls and camera, as they do definitely take some getting used to, but once you get a system down, the game gets ridiculously addicting. Look for it on shelves right along with the Vita itself when it launches in February.
