Tales of Innocence Vita Remake Plays Dressup Via Paid DLC

Tales of Innocence-R, Namco Bandai’s Vita-based remake of the successful DS RPG, will include downloadable content that comes at a price, the Japanese developer has announced.

The newest issue of Famitsu magazine includes details and images of the first wave, which will be what the company calls “things the fans want to see,” and this apparently means the costume changes that Namco Bandai games have frequently included, in recent years. Both the girls and boys will get themed outfits that match the cast of hit Japanese series The Idol Master for starters. After that, the characters will be able to masquerade as those of other Tales games; Ruca will be able to wear Jude’s costume from Tales of Xillia, QQ can be made to look like Sophie from Tales of Graces, and Conway can dress as Jade from Tales of the Abyss, among several other examples.

While it is clear that there will be a price on this stuff, Famitsu does not specify the cost. Tales of Innocence-R will be released in Japan on January 26th with a suggested cost of 5,980 yen. It hasn’t yet been announced for any other territories. Visit the official Japanese website for a nice little bit of background music.
