Opening Cutscene to Zone of the Enders 1 HD Teased by Kojima

If you’ve been itching to play the long awaited Zone of the Enders HD Collection, Kojima has an image that will bring a smile to your face. The redone, anime-styled opening to the first Zone of the Enders looks fantastic, so much so, it appears Kojima couldn’t contain his excitement, so he snapped a photo of the cutscene to tease fans of the franchise.

Earlier today, Kojima tweeted the image, which can be seen below.

Zone of the Enders fans will recall that the first game had a very traditional 3D visual design, while the sequel scrapped this look for much more stylized cell-shaded visuals. Perhaps Kojima and his team are using the anime-like cutscenes to unify the two experiences?

One thing is for sure however, this HD collection will treat gamers to one of the most innovative franchises that graced the PS2. Let’s hope that these highly underrated titles reach a broader audience when the high-def compilation launches later this year.
