Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Wins Writer’s Guild of America Award

PlayStation 3 exclusive action-adventure title Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception has won an important award from the Writer’s Guild of America.

Naughty Dog’s third installment in the best-selling Uncharted series won the Writer’s Guild of America award for Video Game Writing. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Batman: Arkham City, Brink, and Mortal Kombat were also nominated.

Naughty Dog game director Justin Richmond shared the news on Twitter:

We won! That small dot is Amy getting the award from Patton Oswalt and Brad Bird! #uncharted3 

The tweet also included an image of Amy Hennig accepting the award:

Uncharted 3 has been a success at retail on PS3, shipping3.8 million copies on the game’s first day of sales (November 1, 2011).  Naughty Dog recently also collaborated with Sony Bend on bringing Uncharted: Golden Abyss to PlayStation Vita.
