Sony Pulls Faulty Facebook App From Vita’s Online Store

If you’ve been having some issues with the Facebook app on your PlayStation Vita, don’t worry, Sony is well aware of the issue and is doing everything they can to fix it. In the meantime, they’ve pulled the application from the store and will re-list it when it’s good to go.

Sony has been receiving a substantial number of reports (we have as well) of users receiving the error code “NP-13144-3” when trying to access the service. Sony has attributed the error to something on Facebook’s end, so they’ll be working with them to iron out this hitch and have it working for you as soon as possible.

As of right now we don’t know exactly when you can expect to see the service return to the online store, as Sony has stated that there “currently there is no timescale for this.” If you have already downloaded the app, you’ll have to manually delete it if it doesn’t work, but you might still be able to use it if you’re lucky.

While yes, this must certainly be a nuisance for some, shouldn’t gamers be too busy playing all of the platform’s fantastic launch games? Hmm… stalk my friends on Facebook or play Uncharted: Golden Abyss… that’s a tough one.

Be sure to check out our comprehensive review list of all the Vita launch games.
