PixelJunk 4am To Be Released This Spring Along With Free Music Viewer

Q-Games has released new details about PixelJunk 4am, including a release date time frame. They’ve also released two screenshots from the game as well as detailing a free music viewer that lets you listen in on what other people are playing.

On the PS Blog, PixelJunk Shooter 2 Planner for Q-Games Rowan Parker revealed details about PixelJunk 4am. PixelJunk 4am is a PlayStation Move title that allows players to use the X axis, Y axis, Z axis, twist, accelerometer, and gyro of the controller to tell the game’s music what to do. The game stands in contrast to traditional music games, which usually tell the player what to do. Parker says that there aren’t any pointers, no shooting, or “waggling” mini-games in the game, either.

Gamers who don’t have a PS Move or don’t want to buy the game can download a free viewer via PSN, which will enable them to view any performance of the game happening worldwide, because any play of PixelJunk 4am is streamed over PSN. Viewers of performances will be able to give players feedback on what or how they’re playing, while enjoying visuals created by the PS3’s SPU. PixelJunk 4am gamers will be able to promote their performances, too, via Facebook and Twitter from inside the game.

Finally, Parker revealed that PixelJunk 4am will be released this Spring.
