Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two Announced, Coming To PS3, 360, & Wii

Warren Spector’s Junction Point Studios is bringing a sequel to Nintendo Wii exclusive Epic Mickey to all three home console platforms.

The Associated Press has reported the first details about the game, which is titled Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two. Epic Mickey 2 will include a number of additions and improvements not seen in the original.

First, the game’s characters will now be voiced, including Oswald The Rabbit.

Oswald also joins the action as a co-op character. He has a remote control that controls electricity and Mickey returns with his paint brush and thinner. Oswald is a constant presence in the game, which enables drop-in, drop-out co-op and also offers aid for those who are playing single player. Oswald is described as a helper character who will work together with Mickey to help him throughout the game.

Speaking of changes, Epic Mickey 2 is now a musical, and the songs and music in the game change based on whether the player has made Mickey good or “mischievous.”

Spector also said that his team has fixed the camera’s placement and made over 1,000 specific changes to the camera. He said his goal is to make sure that players never have to touch the manual camera controls once.

Epic Mickey 2 will also return to the Wasteland, which has been altered by a number of disasters, such as earthquakes. Some familiar locations will have changed in appearance and some new locations will be in the game as well.

The game is currently scheduled for release this fall.
