Bethesda and Human Head Studios’ Prey 2 is rumored to have been canceled.
PS Focus reports that sources have told them that Prey 2‘s development has been canceled and that an official statement on the cancellation from Bethesda is allegedly coming this week.
Bethesda declined to comment on the rumor, refusing to confirm or deny the legitimacy of the claim.
Zenimax, Bethesda’s parent company, had pulled all Prey 2 talks from this year’s GDC. Brian Karis, lead graphics programmer at Human Head, had confirmed the news via Twitter on February 13th:
@repi Yes, Zenimax forced us to pull all Prey2 related talks from GDC. I’m pretty devastated by the news. This was to be my first conf talk.
