Capcom has released new details about Street Fighter X Tekken for PlayStation Vita, in addition to releasing four videos and some screenshots for the game.
The publisher has confirmed that the PlayStation Vita version of the fighter will feature cross-platform play, which will allow Vita owners to engage in online multiplayer against owners of the PS3 version via Wi-Fi or 3G.
Speaking of cross-platform features, owners of both the PS3 and Vita versions will be able to add the new fighters from the Vita version to the PS3 version via free DLC. Also, DLC purchased for one version of the game can be used in the other. Furthermore, edited and customized data from the Vita version can be transferred to the PS3 version via a save data link.
Vita-specific features include new control schemes focused on the Vita’s touch screen and touch controls for menus as well.
The game’s roster has the existing 43 fighters from the PS3 version and 12 new fighters added to the Vita version for a total of 55 playable characters. The new roster members from the Street Fighter universe are: Blanka, Cody, Dudley, Elena, Guy, and Sakura. The new roster members from the Tekken universe are: Alisa Bosconovitch, Bryan Fury, Christie Monteiro, Jack, Lars Alexandersson and Lei Wulong.
Finally, Capcom has said that new modes, features, and game content are going to be revealed right up until the game’s release this fall.
