It looks like the next major installment in the God of War franchise isn’t the only thing that Sony Santa Monica is gearing up for, as the developer has just started their search for experienced game designers looking to jump on board and help them create a new IP.
Yesterday, we speculated that Stig Asmussen was heading up a separate team at SSM, and working on another game. If you check out the job listing, you’ll notice that this new project appears to be some type of shooter in the first or third-person vein. In addition, it looks like they are looking for individuals who have experience with vehicle combat as well as character design. Previously, we spotted job listings for a possible shooter game with vehicle combat, but this is the first time we’ve seen confirmation that it’s for a new IP, and not GOW.
The headline for the job description of senior combat designer reads:
The Sony Santa Monica Studio is hiring for an unannounced new IP! We are an open and creative environment that strives to make the best games in the industry. Join us as we embark on our next project!
Sony’s Santa Monica crew is a talented bunch, so we can’t wait to see what they come up with. Be sure to share with us what you’d like to see the developer do in the comments below.
