It appears that Deep Silver’s 2011 hit Dead Island will be getting a Game of the Year Edition very soon, if a listing on the UK ratings board is any indication.
The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) has listed that Dead Island: Game of the Year Edition will be launching this summer on June 30th. The post didn’t include any information on what will be packaged in this special edition, but if it’s like most typical GOTY re-releases, we’ll likely see both the Ryder White and Bloodbath Arena DLC packs included as well.
While the game sold incredibly well when it launched last year – clearly, zombies are all the rage right now – will a GOTY edition rake in the cash that Deep Silver is hoping? The game may have been well received from a commercial standpoint, but critics had very mixed feelings about the game.
