Deep Silver officially announced a sequel to Techland’s Dead Island, entitled Dead Island Riptide.
Other than the announcement of the successor to the open world zombie game and the fact that i’ll be arriving on consoles and PC, nothing else has been revealed. More information on the sequel will be unveiled during the summer.
The next battle between life and death will be waged in Dead Island Riptide and iscurrently in full development by Techland for consoles & PCs. An extensive reveal of its’thrilling new perils is planned for later this summer.
Dead Island released to a lukewarm reception but managed to ship over three million units, which is predominately due to its infamous debut trailer. A GOTY edition, meanwhile, will release this month on the 26th. As for its sequel, there was an official trademark made for Dead World but we can only assume that it’s the name for the third installment now.
