Activision and Rovio will be teaming up to bring three games from the iOS hit franchise Angry Birds to video game consoles at retail.
IGN reports that three Angry Birds games will be released in one retail package as the Angry Birds Trilogy on PS3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo 3DS: Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, and Angry Birds Rio. “All of the existing material” in the games has been “uprezzed” and “re-treated” for high-resolution screens. The game will contain new cinematics, extras, leaderboards for each level, and more. Also, backgrounds in the game will be animated and reactive. New lighting modes are said to have been added as well. The game has been described as “the ultimate collector’s edition.”
Angry Birds Trilogy will support motion controls on PS3 and Xbox 360, as the game supports both PlayStation Move and Kinect. On 3DS, the game will support the platform’s StreetPass feature.
The game arrive at retail this holiday.
