Good news for all of you Battlefield fans hesitant on shelling out the cash for Medal of Honor: Warfighter, as EA has just announced that BF4’s “exclusive” beta access won’t be limited to those who pre-order Danger Close’s upcoming military shooter.
According to an update from Electronic Arts, “The exclusive Battlefield 4 beta will be available in Fall 2013. Additional details regarding Battlefield 4 will be revealed at a later date.” Community manager Ian Tornay explained on Reddit that access to the beta will be offered in additional ways that they aren’t ready to disclose. “There will be other ways to get into the beta aside from Medal of Honor: Warfighter. At this time, however, it is the only way to guarantee entry,” he said.
Tornay also addressed fans’ fears that support for Battlefield 3 will be dropped in support of 2013’s shooter, saying, “There are several teams at DICE. Starting work on Battlefield 4 does not mean that we will be abandoning Battlefield 3 or working any less hard to bring you the best expansions we can.”
