PlayStation gamers have undoubtedly gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. While update 1.6 has been available for both Xbox 360 and PC gamers since June, PS3 owners have been left out. Fortunately update 1.7 will remedy these issues, as Bethesda plans to bring a number of fixes to the PlayStation faithful very soon.
According to a post on the Bethesda Blog, the developer has confirmed that the 1.7 update will be headed to Sony’s console very soon and will include everything from “the 1.6 title update, including Mounted Combat.” While it’s long overdue, it’s nice to know that Bethesda hasn’t completely abandoned the PS3 version of Skyrim.
As for precisely when we can expect the update to roll out, Bethesda still has yet to pin down a specific date. On the official Twitter account for The Elder Scrolls, they’ve confirmed that the “update should be arriving in the coming weeks.”
Now all we need is the Dawnguard DLC…
