Telltale’s zombie-infested adventure games will arrive for free next month on PlayStation Plus in the US.
On the PS Blog, PlayStation Digital Platforms Community Manager Morgan Haro announced that as of August 7th, The Walking Dead Episode 1: A New Day and The Walking Dead Episode 2: Starved for Help will join the PS Plus Instant Game Collection as free titles. The two episodes will count as one game replacement, with Gotham City Impostors being moved out of rotation to accommodate them.
Also, as previously announced, PSN PLAY titles The Expendables 2 Videogame (arriving July 31st) and Sound Shapes (available for pre-order beginning tomorrow, arriving August 7th) will be available to PS Plus subscribers for $11.99. Haro also announced that Sound Shapes pre-orders will only take place on the PS3 PlayStation Store because of the PS3 theme that comes with pre-orders, but that Vita-only gamers would still be able to receive the 20% Plus discount for the first week of the game’s release.
In other PSN PLAY news, Papo & Yo — which has been confirmed by Minority to be receiving a demo — will be available for pre-order on August 7th.
Finally, in regards to the “action-packed” PSN beta, Haro said that news about the beta won’t be coming until the PS Plus post in another two weeks. More additions to the Instant Game Collection and other PS Plus news will be announced on August 13th.
