Rubin: Four New Titles in Development at THQ’s Internal Studios

Despite the announcement that del Toro’s Insane has been cancelled, THQ has several major projects that just recently entered development.

According to the company’s president Jason Rubin, THQ’s internal studios have started work on brand-new, unannounced games. Speaking to GI International Rubin shared the following:

I’ve been focusing primarily on upcoming projects including Darksiders 2, South Park: The Stick of Truth, Metro: Last Light and Homefront 2, as well as the titles being developed by Turtle Rock Studios, Collision, Crytek and Patrice Désilets.

Beyond our announced titles, in the last 60 days, all four of our internal studios began working on new titles that represent the type of product we believe will make THQ successful in the future.

There’s no doubt that Rubin is incredibly intent on mixing things up at THQ to lead the company to a successful future. Will his efforts pay off? Let’s see how Darksiders 2 and Metro: Last Light do before we cast judgment, as the company’s future endeavors will likely ride on the success of these two upcoming games.
