This week kicks off the Metal Gear 25th anniversary celebration and with it brings many surprises from series creator Hideo Kojima.
The lastest installment in the Kojima Productions Report podcast teases the upcoming event, saying that some big news is on the way for both the gaming public and the industry as a whole. The celebration will be held in Tokyo Midtown and will be loaded with “a lot of exciting announcements,” according to Kojipro’s podcaster Ken Mendoza.
Fellow radio voice Chris Johns went on to hype up the reveals, going so far as to say that he thinks “the industry’s gonna be shook by what we’re going to be able to present here.”
The event is set to be held on August 30th and is confirmed to showcase the FOX Engine in some capacity. Will Kojima give the world its first official look at Metal Gear Solid 5? We can only hope.
