With GameStop only expecting one console to release next year, the big question is will it be the PS4 or the Xbox 720? Sony 2nd party developer Zindagi Games has inadvertently suggested that the PS4 will be out in 2013.
The job listing we’ve uncovered states (emphasis added):
Straight off the heels of Sports Champions 2, which will be available Fall of this year, 2013 will be a big year for Zindagi. With projects ranging from mobile to next-gen console, we are looking for extremely talented performers to join our team!
PSLS previously found a job listing from the developer that confirmed they began work on a next-gen title as late as last March, if not earlier. Presumably, the game will make use of Sony’s motion controller (or SkEYEnet camera) considering the history of the developer – they worked with Sony during the Move’s R&D, created the best selling Move game Sports Champions as well as Move game Medieval Moves: Deadmund’s Quest and upcoming Move title Sports Champions 2.
It will also be interesting to see if Sony includes a motion control device – be it camera, controller or both – as standard in the PlayStation 4, as it would guarantee a much larger install base for the controls and therefore ensure far more developer support. However, it would drive up the price of the console, despite being a feature that has yet to prove itself compelling for core audiences.
