Kojima Productions Opening Los Angeles Studio, Hiring For New Game

Hideo Kojima is expanding his development studio by opening a new branch of Kojima Productions in Los Angeles.

This news was first revealed via a job posting on Gamasutra, in which Kojima Productions states that they’re looking for a gameplay programmer to work for them in the Los Angeles area.

Kojima Productions, the world famous game studio within the Konami group, who recently celebrated its 25th anniversary of Metal Gear Solid franchise, is now looking to expand its team. Kojima Productions are looking for skillful creators, senior programmers, artists and game developers with a passion for making amazing video games.

I’m sure the question on everyone’s mind is in relation to what game this studio will be working on. With Kojima’s team in Japan already knee deep in Ground Zeroes, there’s a possibility that this new studio will be working on Zone of the Enders 3, a title that Kojima has promised to his fans in the past.

Then again, it could always be Metal Gear Solid 5, seeing as how Ground Zeroes is a supposed prequel to proper fifth installment. However, one might reason that Kojima would need to be there at all times, so MGS5 would likely be done in Japan. Either way, it’s safe to assume the game will be built on the FOX Engine and likely be a next-gen title.
