Dead or Alive 5 Plus Coming to Vita Next Year

Following in the footsteps of other fighting games such as Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom, Street Fighter x Tekken, and Mortal Kombat, it looks as though Dead or Alive 5 will be jumping to the PS Vita.

Announced in the video below by Yosuke Hayashi of Team Ninja, Dead or Alive 5 Plus is scheduled to hit the handheld in early 2013. While no additional details were given, it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to say that we’ll get some new characters, stages, modes, and some of those costume packs that seem to release by the dozens every week on the PSN.

In case you missed it, he also revealed that a brand new ‘feature expanding’ patch for Dead or Alive 5 will be arriving next year for consoles. Whether or not this has anything to do with what we’ll see in Dead or Alive 5 Plus remains to be seen, but we’ll keep you updated on any furthernews regarding DOA5.
