Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Box Art Revealed, It Kicks Ass

During the last few weeks, a couple video game box arts have been cast in a bit of a bad light. First off, the Fuse cover was unveiled and it featured four characters who all had the tops of their heads cut off. As Ted Price of Insomniac noted in an interview, it was actually a conscious decision to have that happen.

Next up was BioShock Infinite, which was criticized for its rather generic box art. A few days after it was shown to the world, Ken Levine explained that their final art was created for non-hardcore gamers. Then, just days after, they created a vote where you can choose the reversible cover for the game.

This now now brings us to today, where Konami has released the final box art for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and to put it bluntly, it kicks ass. Rather than messing around, we just get Raiden standing in the middle of a recently cut in half enemy:
