I tried, I honestly tried, to go the rest of the week without banging on about mistakes made by games journalists, but another false rumor has spread across the web misleading readers of major games news publications. Sorry.
The big news of the day is that Sony has patented a new Move controller… except they didn’t. The patent in question, which features images of a different Move controller that you can see below, is simply a slightly changed one from 2008. Yes, 2008, two years before the Move came out. So, if you just read about this new Move controller on a huge gaming publication, delete it from your memory. If you didn’t read about it, ignore this post.
What’s more likely is that Sony is developing a better PS Eye, but will keep the technologically-sound Move the same.
