It looks like the eight games rated by the ESRB were just half of what we can expect within the Capcom Arcade Cabinet as Capcom has fully detailed what we can expect, how much we’ll be paying, and when everything will show up.
Starting on February 19th, Capcom will begin releasing 15 of their classic 8-bit titles onto the PlayStation Network in a customizable, HD 80’s arcade. Simply by downloading a single game or pack will give you access to the Capcom Arcade Cabinet, which includes DIP switch functionality, a music player, an art gallery, as well as video capturing, which can be uploaded to YouTube.
With that DIP switch functionality, you’ll be able to change the number of lives and difficulty while in standard mode, including a Casual Mode to make everything easier. On top of this, you can expect 2 player online play for certain games, a global leaderboard, a training mode with infinite lives, trophies, and the ability to choose between Japanese or international versions of the games.
To help get you acquainted with the Capcom Arcade Cabinet, a Black Tiger demo with unlimited credits will be offered for free on February 19th. And if you happen to purchase all 15 games, you’ll be given two unspecified games for free at a later date.
