Avalanche Studios, the team behind the Just Cause franchise, popped up a few times on PSLS last year, with posts ranging from them aiming to be the best open world developers, working on an open world game with Square Enix (who published the first two Just Cause titles), and even saying that Just Cause is perfect for PS4.
Since the last piece of news in September though, all’s been pretty quiet from them, until Christofer Sundberg, founder of Avalanche Studios, sent out this picture earlier today, with the following caption:
We’re making awesome games at
#avalanchestudios! This year will be awesome!#yearoftheavalanche
We can really only speculate at this point, but the most logical choices are that it is either Just Cause 3, or a Mad Max video game that would tie in with 2014’s Mad Max: Fury Road movie, something they were previously rumored to be working on.
