Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Poster Allegedly Leaked Early

The next game in the very popular Assassin’s Creed series is expected to come out before April 2014, complete with a brand new assassin and era. If a poster obtained by Kotaku today is to be believed, it’ll be titled Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and features a very heavy pirate theme.

Whether or not this is legitimate will reportedly be determined on Monday, March 4th, when the posters are expected to grace stores. Presumably there will be an announcement too.

Considering that the Assassin’s Creed series has had a new entry every holiday season for many years points towards us seeing a new game in the series in October/November. Also, with the PS4 out around the same time and Ubisoft already doing PS3/PS4 versions of Watch Dogs, this could be on both current and next-gen consoles. Adding to both of those, some LinkedIn profiles we’ve dug up showed a listing for Assassin’s Creed IV, as opposed to an Assassin’s Creed III spin-off.

Assuming that the poster and accompanying news is real, we should know all about the new Assassin’s Creed title next week, so stay tuned to PSLS for all the details.
