Usually when a game goes gold, that means development is complete and it is off to the next stage of production, which involves putting the game onto Blu-ray and packaging it all up. In the case of God of War: Ascension, we weren’t told about the game going gold ahead of its March 12th release date, but Todd Papy, Game Director, tweeted these pictures late last night:
So, this means that God of War: Ascension has gone one step further than gold (I call it Platinum), and is ready to be shipped to stores, but more importantly, it also means that reviewers such as those at PSLS will get their hands on it very soon.
