Even when we’re so close to God of War: Ascension becoming readily available to the public, Sony Santa Monica still has some new pieces of information up their sleeves in the form of a fourth multiplayer mode, Trial of the Gods, a new God allegiance, Poseidon, and three new multiplayer maps.
With Trial of the Gods, you and another online player (solo play is also supported) will tag-team to face five increasingly difficult waves of enemies, all while surviving against the hourglass of Olympus. There will be over 15 enemies for you to face off against, including Satyrs, Cerberuses, Cyclopes, Gorgons, and Juggernauts.
Each time you start Trial of the Gods, there will be a set amount of time on the clock, with more time added every time you can an enemy. Then, when you finish a wave, you’ll be given a bonus depending on how quickly you cleared it. If you happen to die or run out of time though, you’ll have to restart, but if you make it to the very end, there will be an epic boss.
Supported maps at the beginning are Desert of the Lost Souls, Forum of Hercules, and Rotunda of Olympus, with more planned for a later date, and you can check out Trial of the Gods in this video:

As for online multiplayer, Poseidon is another God you can choose to align yourself with, and he grants a larger health pool, the ability to fortify allies, as well as the command over water and ice:
