Trion Worlds said we “are totally getting one” and they weren’t lying. A Defiance beta on PlayStation 3 is starting up on March 19th at 8AM PST and will end on March 25th at 9PM PST. Even though this is the first time a beta has appeared on the PS3 for Defiance, this is actually the third and final beta phase for the title, which is out in just a few weeks on April 2nd.
If you’d like to get an invite, all you have to do is pre-order the game and you’ll be given guaranteed access. Don’t want to pre-order? Then simply head over to the Defiance beta sign up page and fill out the form. Entry isn’t guaranteed this way, so put your name in as soon as you can because invites are scheduled to be sent out next week.
When the beta does go live, it will have you playing as Ark Hunters as you explore the Mt. Tam and Madera regions, with co-op battles on Angel Island and Cronkite Bunker. The Freight yard and Observatory will also be open for anyone who wants to enter into some competitive multiplayer action.
