Superannuation is back at it again, shedding light on a couple of studios supposedly working on next-gen titles, as well as an interesting job listing from Quantic Dream.
Starting with Volition, Kyle Vande Slunt, Audio Designer, lists that he has been working on an “unannounced Next-Gen title” since June 2012 for the company, the same time he began designing on Saints Row 4 as well. Then, on his Twitter account, he also repeats that he is “working on Saints Row and an unannounced game”. A guess as to what that project could be is a next-gen port of Saints Row 4, but since nothing’s been even hinted at yet by Koch Media, we can’t tell for sure.
Moving on to Insomniac, Jeff Williams, Character Animator, put on his CV that he is working on an “Unannounced Next Gen Title” for the company. With Fuse wrapping up production for its May launch, it remains to be seen if Insomniac is going to partner with EA, Sony, or another publisher for their next game, so we’ll just have to wait for an announcement.
Finally, Quantic Dream is hiring for a Lead Online Programmer, possibly for their PlayStation 4 title, which is “really surprising.” Requirements for this job cite that you “must have shipped a multiplayer AAA title before” and that “experience on console development will be a plus,” with this being the job description:
