Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection Sneaks to the PlayStation 3 This June, Franchise Crosses 33 Million Sold

Spotted on a Korean Ratings Board last week, Konami has confirmed that the Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection is releasing on the PlayStation 3 this June in North and South America.

We’ve contacted Konami to find out the price and whether or not it would be available on the PlayStation Network Day 1, but while you wait, here’s everything you get within The Legacy Collection:

  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions
  • Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty HD Edition
  • Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater HD Edition (which includes the MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2)
  • Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition
  • Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition
  • Two Ashley Wood digital graphic novels

Speaking about the Collection, Tomoyuki Tsuboi, President of Konami, said the following:

We wanted to give Metal Gear Solid fans the opportunity to experience the series from beginning to end, all on one console. With the collection’s multiple titles, players can truly see how Metal Gear Solid evolved into the critically acclaimed and beloved franchise it is today.

It was also announced that the Metal Gear franchise has sold more than 33 million units to date.
