Sony hates waiting for E3 to reveal details about their biggest upcoming games, notoriously spilling all their beans long before the lights dim and Kaz steps onto the stage. Well if you want to know everything there is about the upcoming PS4 exclusive inFamous: Second Son, Game Informer are set to do their largest feature since GTA IV on the game.
If 10 pages of inFamous wasn’t enough, there will be an additional 20 pages of PS4-ness, including details on Media Molecule’s upcoming project, Destiny, Knack, Killzone: Shadow Fall, and DriveClub.
In the announcement article (important: contains a major inFamous 2 spoiler without warning you), some details about Second Son are revealed (still important: the following quote contains the major spoiler about the ending of iF2, which we have mostly greyed out. Highlight to see clearly):
In the series’ first foray into a real-world location (Seattle), Cole MacGrath is dead. Since sacrificing himself at the end of Infamous 2, the country has been on high alert for other possible conduits. To deal with this perceived threat, the government has set up the oppressive Department of Unified Protection, and they’ve placed Seattle on lockdown. As new protagonist Delsin Rowe, players will be given more than enough opportunities to fight the power.
The issue will be available in the next couple of weeks for print subscribers, or later today for digital.
