inFamous: Second Son’s Story Reasoning Further Detailed, Helps Clear up an Important Question

[Important] Just like last time, this story delves into major spoilers for anyone who hasn’t completed inFamous 2 (it’s free on PlayStation Plus, what are you waiting for?), turn back now if you don’t want anything ruined.

Still here?

Okay, let’s begin.

A couple days ago, we let you know about Nate Fox, Game Director on inFamous: Second Son, explaining why Sucker Punch decided to use the ending where Cole had died, and ultimate chose to have Delsin Rowe as the new main character. Many people were quick to point out that, at the end of inFamous 2, the RFI was supposed to take all of the Conduit’s powers away, thus getting rid of superpowers altogether.

Well, in a new post by Game Informer today that touched on the story, it was revealed that “Conduits who were further away from the RFI’s blast radius weren’t completely “cured,” so there are still a number of less-powerful Conduits and Conduits who didn’t know they had powers scattered across the globe.”

What do you think of the explanation for powers still existing within the inFamous universe? Let us know in the comments below.
