Activision Says Their E3 Lineup Will Deliver “Great Gameplay, Immersive Worlds, and Cool Innovations”

Despite only having three games slated to make an appearance at E3, two of them (Call of Duty: GhostsSkylanders Swap Force) will be in the top 10 best selling games of 2013. Speaking about the upcoming event was Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision, who mentioned the changes coming with the PS4 and Xbox One this holiday:

This is obviously a big year – not just for Activision, but for the entire industry. There’s a console transition coming and naturally, everyone wants to see what new possibilities that will unleash in the games. We remain laser focused on delivering the things we know our gamers care about most: great gameplay, immersive worlds, and cool innovations. And that’s what our amazing lineup at E3 this year will deliver.

Looking directly at Activision’s games, you can expect Call of Duty: Ghosts, which releases on November 5th for the PS3 (as well as PC and Xbox 360) and later for the PS4 (and Xbox One). If you are free at 11AM PST on Sunday, June 9th, there will be a livestream for Call of Duty: Ghosts, which you can check out here and on PSLS.

Then there’s Destiny, expected in 2014 on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, which will have a big reveal during Sony’s E3 Press Conference.

Finally, we have Skylanders Swap Force, something that was just dated for October 13th in North America, October 16th in Australia, and October 18th in Europe on current generation consoles (and the DS). In un-surprising news, Activision also confirmed it as a PS4 and Xbox One title, though no date was given. If you decide to pre-order the game before launch, retailers worldwide are offering a free Skylanders toy.
